The Dessau Museum of Technology, located at the historic Hugo Junkers airfield, is a gathering place for all people interested in technology and history. The focused and information-rich exhibition incorporates a wide variety of fascinating exhibits, models, documents and photographs relating to the aviation industry, as well as to the groundbreaking and versatile work of Hugo Junkers himself.
A centerpiece of the exhibition is the restored JU 52, a trimotor transport aircraft manufactured in Germany from 1932 to 1945. A reproduction of a Junkers F 13, the world's first all-metal transport aircraft, is currently under construction.
The museum also provides insight to the technical development and history of the Dessau region.
