The exhibition in the palace gives a survey of the building’s history of construction and its use as a hunting lounge and a later boarder’s institute. It is informed about the work of important characters like Elector Friedrich III. “the wise” and August I. of Saxony and his wife Anna Auguste who gave the town her name. The so-called Fladerdecke (a special Renaissance painting on the ceiling) is worth to visit.
Through the expansion of the museum it was possible to present 5000 pewter figures owned by the museum. The collection contains cultural-historically figures which concentrate on carriages, carts, military groups and armed forces.
