Harzgerode was a capital of the very small principality Anhalt-Bernburg-Harzgerode between 1635-1709. The interesting interior design has its origin in Prince Wilhelm who can be seen on a portrait made of copper. The following other church’s exhibits are also worth seeing: the wooden interior construction with three galleries and carved work, Prince’s chair and the collection of paintings with motives of lodges at the galleries. The watchman’s flat can be visited on inquiry. The church shows changing exhibitions to Harzgerode’s history and to the church itself.
