Spengler-House

Sangerhausen

Spengler-Haus
The Spengler House was the residence of the master carpenter and local historian Gustav Adolf Spengler (1869 – 1961) and his family. The house is the location of his carpenter's workshop and his legendary museum. As a result of Spengler's strong passion for collecting and his skilful craftsmanship, the interior and design of the once-commonplace craftsman's house is now uniquely unconventional. A mysterious and truly original sight, the house is packed with stories about Spengler and his hometown. Since 2001, the Spengler House has been open to the public as a branch of the Spengler Museum.
