Zörbig

Schloss Zörbig Romanisches Taufbecken Museum Zörbig
Schloss Zörbig
The Local History Museum of Zörbig spans across 12 rooms of the castle. The exhibition presents the development of the town from pre and early historic times up until the 20th century. The permanent display is supplemented by special temporary exhibitions on a variety of topics.
Two rooms are dedicated to important sons of the city. One of the rooms is dedicated to the life and work of the children's books author Victor Blüthgen. The folkloristic collection includes an extensive selection of Feierabendziegeln, old clay roof tiles inscribed with names, dates, texts and ornamental designs. The castle tower can also be visited. Guided themed and/or city tours are available by prior arrangement.
